1: There's no secret, in spite of what everyone (who is trying to sell you something) will tell you. You just man up and do it. It's called self-discipline. How long it will take to get a six-pack will depend on how fat you are now. There are no short-cuts, kid.
2: It depends on how much you work out. It's different for everyone. Stick to your diet by reminding yourself how important it is to lose the weight & get fit. Find things you like and get creative so you don't get bored. Write down how getting fit will change your life and why you want to achieve. Set goals set goals set goals. Even use rewards (not food rewards) to help yourself achieve your goals.
Good luck, Buddy!
3: Eat a big healthy breakfast- 3 eggs scrambled with two pieces of wholemeal toast,
Then 4 smaller meals through the day, involving lots of fruit and veg- Chicken salad, tuna sandwich, sliced apple with banana, bowl of cereal.
This will stop you from binging and keep you going.
Stop drinking sugary drinks, stick to water and the odd tea/coffee, and low calorie/carb protein shakes.
Unfortunately getting a six pack is incredibly hard work as you have to be disciplined as it is approximately 30% exercise and 70% nutrition. This means no or barely any processed food, (beans in tomato sauce, white bread, white pasta, burgers.)
Stick to doing cardio for at least 30 minutes, then weight exercises, this will help you build muscle as well as getting rid of the fat.
Its a slow process but is totally worth it, you have to be patient...
YOU CAN DO IT!!!
4: Hey, I think the most important thing is to realize that you CAN do this.
It can be easy to give in if you feel you will never manage it anyway, but that is exactly why you aren't managing it. You have to believe in yourself and keep telling yourself that the reality is it actually WILL happen if you stick with it.
Writing out a meal plan is always a good idea. That way you can be sure you're getting what you need; no more, no less. Make sure you stick to it to the letter.
When you feel tempted to stray just think how you will feel afterwords. The enjoyment will be gone and you'll be left with the guilt. It isn't worth it.
It's also a good idea to make sure you're eating foods you like. A diet will never be sustainable if you're having to give up all the enjoyable foods. Find healthy meals and snacks that you genuinely enjoy eating, and make provisions to include those unhealthy ones that can still be enjoyed as a treat every now and then.
Never forget that you DO have the power to do this. It is just a matter of time and commitment, and if you stick at it then you honestly will get there.
Good luck.
